The apps collect nothing.

The apps

The Synapse apps collect no personal data, no usage analytics and no advertising identifiers. They contain no third-party analytics or advertising code. They make no network requests of their own, with two exceptions, neither of which involves us:

• Purchase and restore. Buying the app or restoring a purchase is performed by Apple's StoreKit under Apple's privacy policy. We receive no personal information from a purchase.
• Opening a citation. When you tap a citation, the app loads that publisher's web page in a browser inside the app. That page is governed by the publisher's own privacy policy, as it would be in Safari.

Your study history, settings and progress are stored only on your device. They are not synced, backed up or transmitted by us, and we cannot see them. A device backup you make through iCloud or your computer includes them under Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes them.

There are no accounts. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request, and no request is needed: deleting the app removes everything.

This website

The guarantee above is about the apps. The website, synapseboardreview.com, is ordinary: it is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs under Cloudflare's privacy policy, and it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. That measurement runs without cookies and without identifying you across sites. We may add other analytics or tracking to the website in future and will update this page when we do.

If you give us your email address through the sign-up form, we keep it, together with the time, country and network address of the sign-up, so that we can write to you about Synapse. We do not sell or share the list. To be removed, reply to any message or write to support@synapseboardreview.com.

If you email us, we keep your message for as long as it takes to answer it and to act on any content correction it describes.

Children

The apps are written for licensed physicians and physicians in training and are not directed at children.
